Christian Responsibility to Dalits and Caste Discrimination

Fr Gerard Mitchell, SJ (parish priest, St Anselm’s Church, Southall), Bishop Pat Lynch and the Christian Network Against Caste Discrimination group are hosting a two-day conference on Christian Responsibility to Dalits and Caste Discrimination at the Amigo Hall adjacent to St George’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Southwark (entrance in Lambeth Road).

The conference aims to deepen awareness of Christian commitment to ending racial discrimination.

Cardinal Peter Turkson (Prefect of the Dicastery for promoting Integral Human Development) will provide a keynote address. Bishops from both the UK and India will also be speaking.
