Caritas Clifton seeks to encourage the imagination of the faithful to act justly, love tenderly and to walk humbly with God, following the words of the Prophet Micah.

It seeks to encourage the imagination with Scripture, the wisdom of the saints, Church Teaching, and the examples and experience of those who empty themselves to serve their sisters and brothers in need.

It will pursue peace with an ethos of charity, formed especially by our diocesan synodal experience. Listening to one another, and listening to the Cry of the Poor and the Cry of the Earth, is the way we invite the Holy Spirit to guide us on Christ’s path.

It will build up those in and around our communities by linking volunteers with programmes and opportunities to live their faith in service to others. This may be done within the parish, or by reaching out into the community and pursuing ecumenical and interfaith service.
