On Sunday 16 November, the Church will mark the World Day of the Poor. Established by Pope Francis in 2016 in his Apostolic Letter, Misericordia et Misera, this marked the end of the Year of Mercy. The theme for 2025 is “You, O Lord, are my hope” (Psalm 71:5). The Pope’s message for this particular day can be accessed here.
