CSAN renews call for action on two-child limit

In a letter today to the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak MP, CSAN has repeated its longstanding call, alongside other members of the End Child Poverty coalition, for a review of the two-child limit on Child Tax Credit and Universal Credit. With Catholic charities working at full stretch through the Covid-19 pandemic on relieving immediate hardship for more families on low incomes, CSAN has focused on requesting at least a temporary suspension of the policy. This would be an important step in solidarity with the dedication of many people in communities who have stepped up support to neighbours during the pandemic.
