NOAH: Help the Homeless by Challenging Yourself in 2023!

NOAH is a Bedfordshire-based charity offering hope and support to people struggling against homelessness and extreme poverty. This year, they have lots of exciting opportunities for you to get involved. Take on an amazing challenge event and raise money to support those who need a helping hand.

For over 30 years, NOAH have been supporting people with complex needs who have nowhere else to turn, helping them to make positive changes in their lives through our range of support services.

They are proud to have a Street Outreach team who support individuals who are sleeping rough throughout Luton & Central Beds, with the primary aim to get them into safe accommodation and engage in our wider range of services at their welfare centre.

The Luton-based Welfare Centre offers a place for people to come and discuss their problems and provides food, clothing, medical and dental care, advice on accessing accommodation and income support, as well as links with other specialist agencies such as legal advice, addiction and mental health.

With unemployment a key cause of homelessness, NOAH are working to support people realise their full potential and help them find employment. The NOAH Academy does this by offering free skills training courses and employment support such as helping to write a CV. This is not only available to those who have experienced homeless but is open to anyone who is unemployed in Bedfordshire.

Last year, NOAH supported 2,600 individuals. All of our services are completely free of charge for those who need them, but they do cost around £2 million a year to provide. NOAH would not exist in its current form today without the generous support from people within their communities.
